16 Inch Softball Tournament Committee

The ASA is proud to announce the addition of softball Hall of Famer Jeff Burger as co-director of the ASA 16 inch Softball Tournament Committee. Jeff will work with other ASA directors Bob Ancona, Paul Rowan, Kendall Green, David Padilla, and Rick Wostratzky to formulate the ASA tournament schedule.

Jeff will begin his duties immediately, helping coordinate this year’s Labor Day National Invitational August 31st – September 3rd in Mount Prospect, IL.

This year’s tournament has a prize package of $6,000.

10u and 12U A Metro

The deadline to enter this year’s 10U and 12U A Metro Championship is fast approaching. The tournament will be played on June 29th-July 2nd at Joliet Inwood Park. Remember you cannot attend a North National or ASA/USA National without playing in this Metro. You can find the Tournament Entry Form on the links to the right under “Documents”


ASA is proud to announce newly appointed ASA District Commissioner David Padilla. David will be in charge of all Hispanic 16 inch as well as Kelly Park, Archer Park, Generra Park, Davis Square Park, and all leagues near southwest Chicago. Mr. Padilla will also serve as Commissioner for Berwyn, Burbank, Justice, and Clyde Park in Cicero. Congratulations to Mr. Padilla and welcome to our team!
